Organic Imaging, also for fixing red eyes
A couple of years ago I installed Organic Imaging on my laptop. I mostly work with texts, but a picture is worth more than a thousand words. That's why the picture has to be a good one!
Recently, I needed photos capturing an evening with entrepreneurs. I received the photos from someone who had used a camera with which she was unfamiliar. There were red eyes in almost every single photo. But that wasn't even the worst part. In about half of them you can barely see who is actually in the photo... Organic Imaging to the rescue!
I ran all the photos through the program and I was really happy with the results. You could now see who was speaking, as well as the background, so the photos were practically perfect for my purposes. All I had to do then was to correct the red eyes. When I showed someone what the program had accomplished we were very amused by the comparison between the original and the corrected images. The originals looked something like scenes from a very boring zombie film in comparison. Unfortunately I've long deleted the original images, although I do still have the corrected photos. Out with the zombies, in with the entrepreneurs.
So, if you'd rather your photos don't transform your subjects into zombies, give Organic Imaging a try!
